Introducing: Noir
by Michael Cook on Aug.07, 2009, under Launches
Today, we launch a new blog, Noir. It’s got no formal release schedule, but it’s a good one. Check it out here; it’s very, very much worth it.
The Runner
by Michael Cook on Jul.17, 2009, under Launches
Mirror’s Edge is a beautiful game. Which is why our latest blog, The Runner, celebrates it. It’s part gaming diary, part personal diary, as The Runner jogs through this stark first-person platformer, talking about why it influenced him so strongly. It’s great, the first episode’s already up and the rest are in the works. Go and get it.
Charles Dickens, Football Manager
by Michael Cook on Jun.25, 2009, under Launches
Our third running blog is up for your perusal now! It’s a Football Manager diary, something I was sure wasn’t actually possible, with a fairly surreal take on the management of a sports team. It’s also really funny. Robert’s diary is ongoing now, so you can catch up with it today and keep going with the updates. We’ve been promised a second season sometime, too.

I love blogs like The Eve Online 0.0 Experiment. (continue reading…)
The Fall And Rise Of Reggio Perino
by Michael Cook on Jun.14, 2009, under Launches
Have you played Mount and Blade? It’s an independently-developed, epic scale adventure game set in a nonspecific horses/swords/castles era. It’s got a really curious sense of freedom that allows you to seek your fortune as a bounty hunter, or go marauding as a pirate, or just run around on a horse going “Oooh.” at the trees.
The Diary Of DeGeen

We’re not just about reposting stuff you’ve already seen before here. Oh no. Not predominantly, anyway. (continue reading…)
The House Of Jimius Launches!
by Michael Cook on Jun.12, 2009, under Launches, Repost
I know, right? We’ve just told you that The Amateur has a new home, and no sooner have you finished wading through tales of bloodshed and doggycide than BAM! Jiiiiim strikes again with a Roman tale of conquest and silly names. This is the second reposting we’re opening The Blue Casket with, this time an old Rome: Total War blog that is itself a repost of an even older blog. But it’s still good readin’, particularly if you – like me – can’t get on with Total War at all, but like reading about it.
There’s more to come in Total War news, too, so keep an eye on this site!
The Amateur Launches!
by Michael Cook on Jun.11, 2009, under Launches, Repost

Jiiiiim’s celebrated Hitman: Blood Money blog has been relaunched as part of our starting work here at The Blue Casket. The blog has been featured in The Escapist and Edge Magazine, recording one man’s journey through a world of international assassinations and nailguns. Follow Jiiiiim as he tries to take down The Agency from the inside, and then weep as he fails miserably.
