Words, Words, Words – The Escapist’s Fiction

Despite appearances, we’re not looking at DeGeen again today, I just couldn’t find a decent illustration. Anyway! Words. The Escapist is an online games magazine that occasionally dedicates an issue to the fine (and not so fine) art of fictitious words. I thought I’d like you to a couple to see what they’re all about, so here’s a short one about MMO avatars seeking therapy, and another about the defence of an RP server from textspeak. They’re not exactly perfectly executed, but it’s certainly a bit different from the norm.

Storytime With Agent 47

Here’s an article I wrote for The Escapist way back in January, when The Blue Casket was a failed project sitting in the back of my mind, bugging me!

They say everyone has a story in them. So far, Jim has managed to conjure up three. He’s not quite made the bestseller lists yet, and searching on Amazon for his exploits won’t turn much up either, but Jim’s stories are not the sort that often make it into print. He’s been setting his tales of heroism, comedy and pet murder in the worlds of big-budget videogames – a sort of pixel fiction, if you will – and he’s not alone.
