Pentadact, otherwise known as the handsome and intelligent Mister Tom Francis of PC Gamer semi-fame, is great at capturing little moments in games, particularly TF2.  His catalogue of screens over on Flickr are a joy to shuffle through, as is his blog. Tom also wrote the GalCiv diaries, which you may remember from earlier.

My Name Is Sophie – Fallout Girl

More Fallout 3 this week! Yes indeed. We do like a bit of desolation and loneliness. We’re back into the warm, loving embrace of Blue Casket favourite Tom Francis, who’s been telling a tale of his favourite Fallout 3 run. Fallout 3 diaries are great. The game’s such an easy-going, lumbering beast of a sandbox that diaries always seem readable because there’s just so much to stumble upon.

Anyway, it’s by Tom Francis and is thus worth your time. Go do it.

The GalCiv 2 War Report

One of the best-known gaming diaries out there is Tom Francis’ epic exploration of Galactic Civilisations 2. A veteran of the turn-based space strategy, Tom dials all the settings up to ‘crazysauce’ and then goes on a murderous rampage across an unimaginably huge galaxy. It’s very funny, very entertaining and best of all it has a sequel.
